YEAR 13 STUDY APPLICATIONS

Please use this form to apply for a study line on your timetable.
The criteria for being approved for study is the following:
Study is only available to Year 13 students on a UE pathway
Students acceptability is assessed using the following criteria:
The student still has the ability to gain NCEA in 3 subjects with 14 credits in each of the three subjects when removing a subject for a study line
The student still has the ability to gain the 60 credits at level 3 needed for UE if a subject is removed for a study line
The student already has or has access to UE R and UE W
Students Pastoral record is also checked for the following:
Does the student have any entries that identify them as a ‘wanderer’
Does the student have any entries that show they have regularly left school at breaktimes
Does the student have multiple entries that show they do not submit or that they are regularly not on track to submit work (this indicates less ability to be self managing).
If you are approved for study, you will be given an agreement to sign. The agreement outlines the expectations of you during the study block.
Once you have signed the agreement, your timetable will be changed.
CONSENT FORM - please fill this consent form in - you need signatures from your whaanau teacher and home.
Once your form is ready to go, complete this google form
Stay in the school grounds until your pass is issued otherwise your request will be denied.
Uniforms
Please make sure you are wearing the right uniform to school. You have a lot of choice.
We have an inclusive uniform, with many different items you can mix and match.

A reminder, we are NOT allowed to visit Countdown Rototuna during the school day, so make sure you bring lunch.
UPDATE YOUR WIFI CONNECTION!!!
For ALL STUDENTS: You need to check that you are currently on RHS BYOD Netwrok for your Wifi. Over the next couple of weeks, all other Wifi networks will be removed for students, so you will need to do this before the end of the Term. If you are not currently on the RHS BYOD Network, see below for how to connect.
Hamilton City Council - Youth Council Applications
Hamilton City Council is excited to be launching the Hamilton City Youth Council.
The Youth Council will bring together up to 12 rangatahi aged 16 – 24 who live, work, or study in Kirikiriroa.
This is a great chance for students to build real-world experience in leadership and governance while developing skills that will support their future careers and education. No previous experience is needed, just a genuine interest in being a voice for their community and working collaboratively.
